Benefit Concert to be Held on May 3rd
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, and on Sunday, May 3rd, TEAMSean will hold the third annual BANDs Together Against Brain Tumors benefit concert at Pure Restaurant & Lounge in Parsippany, from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. (doors open at 11:30 a.m.). This event is open to the public and will feature live music from five local bands (Art of Play, Supernova, Twisted Charm, Steel Margarita, and Frank & Glen). There will be plenty of fun for the entire family including face painting, balloon creations, a photo booth, game truck, silent auction and more! Tickets are $15 at the door (children 3 and under are free), plus a portion of all food and drink purchases will be donated to the cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit TEAMSean and the Children’s Brain Tumor Family Foundation.
TEAMSean was formed in 2012, as friends and family joined together to support the Ries family of Mt. Tabor, when their 4-year old son Sean was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Three years and three brain surgeries later, Sean is thriving in second grade, and his remaining tumor is stable. TEAMSean has turned their focus to raising awareness for pediatric cancer and supporting research they hope will one day find a cure for Sean and every other child facing this heartbreaking diagnosis. In 2015, the Ries family (and TEAMSean) joined forces with three other families who like them, were frustrated by a lack of funding for research for inoperable brain tumors. These families, united by tragedy, have formed the Children’s Brain Tumor Family Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness for pediatric brain tumors and to supporting research at the Weill Cornell Children’s Brain Tumor Project.
Come out on May 3 and be a part of the TEAM! Show your support for 8-year old Sean Ries as he continues his fight, and help raise awareness and find a cure for this deadly disease. Door prizes, silent auction items, and sponsorships are sought - for more information, call (201) 396-2050 or email email@example.com. Visit www.cbtff.org for complete event details.
